Welcome to NDRK College of Nursing Library and information Services. We are here to help you throughout the course of your studies. This guide gives basic details of how to use your library services.
NDRK Nursing library and information Centre blog has been created to keep update the students, faculty and other staff members of NDRK College of Nursing. The Blog will publish the information about not only library of NDRK but will also flash the latest updates in the field of Nursing and Education.
A well equipped library is one of the pillars of a forward looking education system. The library aims at acquiring information on Health Sciences and to provide timely, accurate, current information and documents to its users and their learning, teaching and academic achievements.
The Library of NDRK College of Nursing is located in the fourth floor of the Building at the College. It extends over 5458 Sq. feet, is very useful for an information seeker. It can accommodate over 125 users at a time. The Library has developed an excellent collection of books, journals and non-book materials in Medical Sciences. It Maintains separate collection of leading books, reference books, Bound Volumes of Journals, Technical Reports, CDs etc.

1. Document Circulation Services:
The books are issued to students and faculty members. Bound, unbound journals, audio-visual materials and CDs are to be used in the library only.
2. Reference Services:
Reference Services is a personal aid provided to the library staff in interpreting library collection for study and research. The library staffs assist the user to locate needed information from the available information resources. On the basis of collection, library provides reference service to its users.
3. Reprographic Services:
Through this services library provides photocopies of articles from journals and books to the users as and when requested.
4. Multimedia Facility:
Library is having Multimedia Room with LCD Projector. Library has more than 151 CDs collection related to Medical Sciences. Faculty Members, P G & U G Students are utilizing this Facility.
5. Internet Centre with Wi-fi
Internet Centre is situated in the Library. The main aim of Internet centre is to enable the students as well as the staff to access various information related to educational as well as research and development in the field of Medical Sciences. Internet Centre is well equipped with total 24 computers and all are connected through local Network to the broadband from BSNL caters for the Internet facility and the Email. Daily average more than 50 members are utilizing the Internet facility.
6. Digital Library:
NDRK Nursing Library & Information Centre has the facility of Digital Library by using the software Greenstone Digital Library. Users can view and download the content from the GSDL. This can save the time of the users and can be used the library more effectively.
7. HELINET Consortium of RGUHS:
NDRK is the member of HELINET Consortium (Health Science Library & Information Network) for E-Resources (E-Journals, E-Books, & Etc) of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore. HELINET provides more than 300 full text Journals all over the world, and more than 9000 e-books. HELINET has covered all areas of Medical Science.
